Paul Rogers launches Welsh Assembly Election campaign
Conservative Welsh Assembly Candidate Paul Rogers has launched his campaign for the Welsh Assembly Elections being held on 5th May.
Your local Conservative team are now campaigning across the constituency meeting with local people, businesses and community groups to elect Paul Rogers as your local assembly member. As part of the campaign Welsh Conservatives have unveiled 8 key pledges -
Protect the NHS budget for the next 4 years.
Invest in education to give teachers, parents and governors a greater say.
Introduce an Armed Forces’ Card to give benefits such as free bus travel and NHS priority care
Scrap business rates for all small businesses.
Protect flood plains with new ‘Blue Belts’ to prevent irresponsible development.
Eliminate child poverty by 2020.
Protect free bus passes and free prescriptions for older people.
Promote the Welsh language with a new Charter Mark for businesses that encourage its use.
Commenting on the party's key pledges Paul said
"I am delighted to be promoting these key pledges as part of the campaign assembly election campaign particularly protecting the NHS budget in Wales for the next 4 years. We cannot afford to take £1 billion out of the health service as is being proposed by the Labour party"
